| So the little things are driving me nuts.
Why are freshmen correcting upperclassmen?
Why are people stealing flags?
Why can't people get through basics?
Why don't people practice?
Why don't people count?
Things I (Personally) Need to Work on
-New work
-Cleaning dance
-Catching solid tosses
-Other things |

| July 25th practice
Flag- good pole hits. :) (Remember to SLICE count 7 on new work.) Work on the feet.
Sabre- Left spins weak.. work on basics in general. On stops for spins, be more solid, tough- act like your STOPPING, not like you just ran out of counts. Flat- tip up. Keep in tempo. Blade tosses- don't push out. *When starting, don't make angle so steep.* Keep legs cemented to the ground, don't run all over for the sabre. Don't let body collapse on catch.
There were more, but I gotta go. I'll try to write down more tomorrow, I guess. |

| A few weeks ago Jen Lube told us, hey! Make a guard diary with all of your corrections to keep track of them. So hey! Here we go.
Basically, the corrections without parentheses are to me, and WITH parentheses are ones that she told everyone, not specifically me, but that I want to remember
6/18 practice
Sabre- Blade Triple- No prep-dont bend knees before toss. Released a bit later in the beginning but after awhile that was fine. Watch upper body on catch. Spreader the better. (Watch pitch on that toss.) Catching at port angle, not flat. Work-none that I recall.
Flag- None. |
